HELP GUIDE
1) What exactly do you do? What will I get for paying £60 each month? What will I get for £100?
We are a horse race tipster service. We provide 10 daily selections to use with a progressive horse racing system. For £60 a month, you will receive these selections Monday to Friday. You also get daily advice, a fast customer service with help whenever you need so, and the opportunity to make a constant income everyday. For £100 a month, you get our selections 7 days a week.
2) I am new to betting, what will I have to do to start using your service?
We recommend that you read our quick start section first. When you sign up for your free five day trial, we recommend you fully test out our service. Familiarise yourself with your chosen horse race system, and our selections, and test out how much money you would have made had you been betting. After this, you can start betting. Please note you will have to buy the horse racing system yourself, we only provide daily tips.
3) Why does it take me to Paypal when I am trying to sign up for my free trial. I was under the assumption that it was free.
Yes, it is free. You will need a Paypal account, and the first seven days will be free, with no hidden catches. We ask you to sign up for Paypal, as it is simply easier for us to keep track of our new customers, and to run the business more effectively. Upon joining with Paypal, the first seven days are free. If after the seventh day, you decide you wish to join us, leave the membership running on Paypal, and it will pay us £60 every thirty days. If you decide you wish to terminate your free trial, click cancel on our subscription in your paypal account. You can do this up to day 7 in your trial, and you will not be charged anything.
4) I have decided to join your service. What happens next?
Upon joining us, we will send out a membership confirmation email. We recommend that you buy a horse racing system that allows you to calculate your stakes per race. Alternatively, If you know how to use your own progressive horse race system you can use that. Then, each day, you will receive our ten daily selections. We recommend that you follow these, and follow the daily advice that is given to you.
5) What horse racing software shall I use?
We currently we recommend our own 5 Star Software. We have not yet had a change to test all other systems out, and we stick to what we know. In the horse racing system section, there is a full guide to each different system. Our members are somewhat mixed between the systems. Our tips work ideally with all of the systems listed.
6) If I follow your advice all the time, will I always make profit?
Betting is a risky business, and we do not take any responsibility for any loses that you incur during your time with us. If you follow our recommendations, our daily advice, and you set your own cautious measures, you will make money. You need to keep a cool head, and have 2-3 hours for racing everyday.
7) I work during the day. Can I do this in the evening?
Our selections are for afternoon races from 2pm to about 5 pm for Monday to Friday. Hence, you will need 2-3 hours per day to follow our selections.
8) I have your 5 Star software. What should I set my profit per race as?
We use the formula below:
Profit per race = Betting Bank / Gearing (where gearing is a figure set by us).
We recommend a short term gearing ratio of 200 times, and ideally 250 plus in the long term. Lets say, you have a betting bank of £5,000, and lets say you start with a gearing of 250 times. The profit per race would be £5,000/250 = £20. Obviously, the higher the gearing the safer you are, so try and set it as high as you can. Some members have this as high as 500 times.
9) How can I cancel my membership with you?
To cancel, you have to do this via Paypal. We cannot cancel on your behalf. To Cancel, simply log into your account, and click on your membership to 5 Star, and then click cancel.
10) What are odds on bets, even bets, and odds against bets? Which ones should I take?
Odds on bets are when the first number is less than the second, for example, 1/5, 2/4, 8/11 and so forth. You have to bet more than you will receive. For example, an odds on bet of 1/5 means you need to stake £5 to get £1 profit. Evens bets are effectively 1/1, you receive exactly what you stake. If you bet £5, you will get £5 profit back. Odds against are when the first number is greater than the second number, for example, 3/1, 7/2, 11/2 and so forth. For example, an odds against bet of 3/1 means you will receive £3 profit for every £1 that you stake. The best bets are odds against, the higher the better. Your stake becomes higher, and it becomes riskier. If your selection loses, your next bet will be extremely high. We recommend that you set your own limits to which bets you can take. Make sure you have a betting bank big enough to cover you with your bet selection. We often take odds on bets if they are around 1/2 or more. If you get an odds on bet at 1/5, you cannot EVER take it, it is simply too low. You can take evens, but always make sure you have enough to cover the other races should it lose.
11) I work and place bets at the same time. I do not have time to listen to the races. How can I check the results as soon as they come out after the race?
Click on the latest results tab at the top of the page, and select a site to check the results. Both sites are pretty fast at updating the results.
12) How can I listen to every race on a daily basis?
Click on our live commentary tab at the top of the page, and chose one of the options.
13) I normally listen to William Hill radio, but I am having problems with it. It often buffers, and sometimes just turns off instead. What can I do instead?
You can either try to change your configuration settings with your media player, or simply listen to races on a different online site. Look at our other recommended sites in the live commentary section.
14) What happens when one race is close to the other, say 10 minutes apart, surely you wouldn't have time to get the results of that bet and then go onto the next and place your stake within 10 minutes.
Yes you would. Simply click on the latest results tab at the top, check the result, and place the next bet immediately. You do have to be fast. If you do not have the time, you can either leave out the next selection, or start another cycle. The choice is entirely up to you.
15) Can I watch all the races everyday?
At a bookmakers yes. If you are at home, attheraces on sky normally shows a lot of the races everyday, but does not cover every track. If this is the case, you can listen to the alternative races on William Hill radio.
16) Is it easy to set up an online bookmakers account, and how many should I have? Which bookmaker shall I register with?
Setting up an account is literally a two minute job, it is really easy. Just type in your information. We recommend spreading your bets with different bookmakers, placing the bet on race 1 with bookmaker 1,race 2 with bookmaker 2, race 3 with bookmaker 3 and so forth. We recommend about 3-4 bookmaker accounts. You can just have one to see how it goes, and then after you can open more. Bookmakers do not like constant winners, and by having more accounts with different bookmakers, the profits will be less per bookmaker. There are so many different bookmakers, and the choice of a bookmaker is entirely up to you. We personally recommend William Hill, Totesport, Ladbrokes, and Stan James.
17) How many winners do you normally have per day? Have you ever had a day where you have lost all 10 selections?
We normally hit about 4 winners per day. Our best at present has been 7 winners on one day. We have always hit at least one winner per day since the service was introduced.
18) How many loses would you call your norm?
On average, we can hit 3-5 loses quite easily, but we always try to give a few really good bets in our last five selections, so you can finish a new cycle every day. 19) If I get stuck, can I contact you on a daily basis for further support?
Of course you can, you can email us anytime between 9am to 6pm, and you will almost get an instant reply. We are also available in the evenings, and we try our very best to respond to your emails as soon as possible.
20) How much do I bet on each horse? I am somewhat confused.
We recommend you purchase a horse racing system, or you can email us for more details. The horse racing systems have stake calculators, you type in the odds, and your profit target, and it works it out for you. We use a progressive staking scheme, and you can work out your stakes yourself. You can email us for further information with regards to this.
21) Do the odds vary from bookmaker to bookmaker? Which one gives the best odds?
Bookmakers vary in the early prices they provide. These are available a few hours before the races. We recommend you wait 10 minutes prior to each race, and then check the odds. If you can see an upward drift, for example say it opened at 3/1, and then went to 7/2, then to 4/1, and now its 9/2, you can see it is increasing, it would be recommended to wait until a minute before the race, and then to take the best possible odds. Conversely, if the odds are decreasing, take the odds immediately. The odds that are given 10 minutes prior to each race are identical with all bookmakers. Make sure you tick the box that says take odds. Never take the SP (starting price), as you will not know what it is, and hence, you will not know how much to stake.
22) When will I receive your daily bet selections?
On average we send the email out between 11am to 1pm to all of our members. Sometimes we may send it out a little later if we are awaiting some news.
23) Is there a site I can go to check out horse form, and see what colour my horse is?
Yes, go to Racing Post. It is extremely good, it provides you with each days selections, past results, form, stall positions, jockey names, and lots of other vital information.
23) I am having problems receiving emails from yourselves. What do you recommend?
Our server is experiencing problems sending email to AOL recipients. We advise you to email us with an alternative email address. Our emails also may end up in your junk folders, so please check them as well.
24) How does the billing work? Do I get charged £60 at the start of each month?
We charge you £60 every 30 days if you subscribe to us. This is billed at the start of each month. You can cancel this at anytime, and there is no contract.
Still no joy? Feel free to email us for further help. If you feel there are other questions that need to be posted up, please let us know.
